Instructor Status

• Roy teaches general firearms safety, fundamentals, and responsible handling.
• Roy will begin offering NRA-certified instruction once all NRA requirements and his certification number are complete.
• Until then, classes are not NRA-endorsed and do not qualify as NRA certification courses.
• Concealed carry licensing courses will only be offered once all legally required instructor certifications are completed.

Participant Responsibility

• You are responsible for knowing and complying with the firearm laws in your state.
• You must be legally permitted to own, possess, or handle firearms.
• You must follow all instructor directions and safety procedures at all times.
• Unsafe behavior may result in removal from class without refund.

Liability for Classes

HBIA is not responsible for injuries, accidents, property damage, or misuse of skills after instruction. All participants assume all risks associated with firearm training.

Cancellations 7+ days before class: full refund.
Cancellations within 7 days of class: eligible for rescheduling only.
No-shows: no refund.
• HBIA may reschedule or postpone a class due to weather, safety concerns, range closures, or emergency conditions.
• Removal from class for safety violations results in no refund.

7. Range Rules & Safety Requirements

All students and participants must follow these rules:

  • Always follow the Four Rules of Firearm Safety.

  • Eye and ear protection are required at all times.

  • Follow all instructor commands immediately.

  • Firearms must remain unloaded until instructed otherwise.

  • No alcohol, drugs, or impairing substances before or during training.

  • Only approved ammunition is allowed on the range.

  • Keep muzzles pointed in a safe direction at all times.

  • Unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal.
